We asked 4 AIs for the best dentist in Vilnius. Here's who they named and why

We asked ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity five questions about dentists in Vilnius, three times each. The 60 answers named 43 different clinics. No clinic appeared in more than half of the answers, each AI had its own favourites, and asking the same question again usually produced a different list. The clinics that were named had one thing in common: clear, specific facts about them on the web.

Key takeaways

  • 43 clinics were named in 60 answers, and 11 of them only once.
  • The most-named clinics appeared in 13-16 of the 36 recommendation answers that named anyone. None reached half.
  • Claude named no clinic in any of its 12 answers to the "best", "recommend" and "implants" questions: it said it hadn't searched and wouldn't guess.
  • The same AI, asked the same question three times, gave the same list in only 2 of 16 cases.
  • The language mattered: one clinic was named in 8 of 12 answers in English, but in only 3 of 12 in Lithuanian.
  • When the question had a factual answer (a dentist open at the weekend), the AIs mostly agreed, and repeated opening hours and phone numbers from the clinics' own websites.

How we ran the study

On 2 November 2026 we asked each of the four assistants these five questions, three times each (60 answers in total), using the same versions RecoPulse uses in its reports, with web search where the assistant supports it:

  • "Kokia geriausia odontologijos klinika Vilniuje?" (What is the best dental clinic in Vilnius? in Lithuanian)
  • "Rekomenduok gerą odontologą Vilniuje." (Recommend a good dentist in Vilnius, in Lithuanian)
  • "What is the best dental clinic in Vilnius?"
  • "I need dental implants in Vilnius. Which clinics would you recommend?"
  • "Kur Vilniuje galima skubiai patekti pas odontologą savaitgalį?" (Where can I see a dentist urgently at the weekend in Vilnius? in Lithuanian)

We counted a clinic as named if it appeared anywhere in an answer, and merged obvious variants of the same name. We kept every answer. This is a snapshot of what AI assistants said on one day, not a ranking of which clinic is best. We have no relationship with any clinic mentioned, and nobody paid to be included.

Which clinics did AI name most?

Across the four recommendation questions, three assistants named clinics in all 36 of their answers (Claude named none, see below). The clinics named most often:

  • ProDentum: 16 of 36 answers
  • VIC (Vilniaus implantologijos centras, now part of Meliva): 14
  • Denticija: 14
  • Odontika: 14
  • Žalgirio klinika (Vilnius University Hospital): 13
  • Dantų harmonija: 13
  • Papadent: 8

Even the most-named clinic appeared in fewer than half of the answers. For a patient, which clinics they hear about depends heavily on which assistant they ask, in which language, and when.

Finding 1: each AI has its own list

  • Gemini named 30 different clinics, about 8 per answer, usually long lists grouped by specialty. 16 of those clinics were named by no other assistant.
  • ChatGPT named 19 clinics, about 3 per answer, almost always with a link to the clinic's own website, and often quoted its published prices. For "recommend a good dentist" it went down to individual dentists, not just clinics.
  • Perplexity named 12 clinics, about 3 per answer, mostly based on directory listings and their review counts. 8 of its clinics were named by no other assistant, and it never named ProDentum, Denticija or Dantų harmonija, three of the most-named clinics overall.

Finding 2: Claude refused to guess

In all 12 of its answers to the "best", "recommend" and "implants" questions, Claude named no clinic. It said there's no objective ranking, that it hadn't searched for current reviews, and that it would rather not invent names. Then it explained how to choose a clinic and offered to search. For the weekend emergency question, though, it did search and named specific clinics with their hours. So a business can be invisible in one assistant for one kind of question, even when the other assistants name it.

Finding 3: ask again, get a different list

We asked every question three times. Out of 16 question-and-assistant pairs that named clinics, only 2 gave the same set of clinics all three times. Usually one or two names changed between runs. A single check of "does ChatGPT mention me?" tells you very little. You need several answers over time, which is why RecoPulse asks every question repeatedly. Our article on why AI answers differ explains the reasons.

Finding 4: the language of the question changes the answer

Odontika was named in 8 of 12 answers to "What is the best dental clinic in Vilnius?" in English, but in only 3 of 12 answers to the same question in Lithuanian. The English answers described it as a clinic for international patients and English speakers, and ChatGPT cited its English price list. If your customers ask in more than one language, you need clear pages in each language.

Finding 5: specific facts get repeated

The weekend emergency question had a factual answer, and here the assistants mostly agreed. Only 9 clinics were named across 12 answers, and the same few came up again and again: Žalgirio klinika (8 of 12), SDC klinika (8), the 24/7 "Budintis odontologas" service (7) and Karlo klinika (6). The answers repeated almost exactly what those clinics publish: "24/7", Saturday and Sunday hours, phone numbers. The same pattern showed up for implants: ChatGPT built its answers around clinics that publish clear price lists, and quoted the prices.

Finding 6: why a clinic gets named

The answers usually said why they picked a clinic. The reasons fall into a few groups:

  • Named specialists and their credentials (professors, oral surgeons, specialisations), listed on the clinic's website.
  • Services and prices published plainly, especially for implants.
  • Review counts and ratings on directories and review sites. Perplexity quoted them directly, and Gemini sent users to Lithuanian review portals such as Pincetas.lt and Manodaktaras.lt.
  • Clear pages for a specific audience, such as international patients or English speakers.
  • Plain statements of practical facts: open 24/7, weekend hours, address and phone.

Finding 7: old names and mixed-up details

VIC was named in 14 answers, but in 5 of them the AI didn't mention that it's now part of Meliva. One answer noted that VIC's old website now redirects to Meliva. AI assistants keep using old names long after a rebrand. For some clinics, different answers also gave different addresses or phone numbers. If your details aren't the same everywhere, an AI may send customers to old ones.

What this means for a clinic, or any local business

  • Publish the facts AI repeats: services, prices or price ranges, opening hours (including weekends), address and phone, in plain text on your website.
  • Name your specialists and what they do.
  • Have proper pages in every language your customers use.
  • Collect reviews on Google and the directories people in your field use, and keep them coming.
  • After a rebrand or a move, update every profile and directory, and say clearly on your site what your old name was.
  • Don't judge your visibility from one answer. Check several assistants, several times, in every language your customers use.

Limits of this study

This is one day, one city, one field and 60 answers. AI assistants change often, so the same questions next month may give different results. We counted whether a clinic was named, not whether it was praised or what was said about it. And being named by AI says nothing about the quality of treatment. We plan to repeat the study in three months and to run the same test for other fields and cities.
